An ink drawing of a diver squid I did. With a 0.03 multiliner pen on A5 paper. That was rather satisfying - old diver helmets and tentacles always attracted me!

Thinkin’ of doing more ink drawings in the nearest future, to improve the steadiness of hand and all that sort of stuff. Been doing too much digital painting, need to get back to traditional old school pens and paper before it’s too late!

This is a GIF of a growing tree I made for a piece of interactive art I’ve been working on.
This animation consists of 40 frames, each drawn from scratch to give it the feel of something hand drawn and as little digital as possible.

The process was quite time consuming, but rewarding, I must say!

I’ve been working on my dissertation for a very long time. It has been painful and time-consuming, not leaving any time for comics and weird stuff I’d rather be drawing.
It’s a piece of interactive animation that has finally been completed and handed in.

For this animation I designed some characters - I think that they are the only thing that I like about the final piece :)
Twelve of them are based on real people, and one of them is, actually, me - which is a girl with bob hair and black skirt (cause that’s pretty much how I look).

Hi there guys!

If you remember, I made a gif about an imaginative kid in his bedroom seeing weird stuff at night. Well, if you do, then this (probably) will make sense:

I’ve designed a little hidden object game based on that gif, where a boy sets on a night trip to find hidden clues that will help him solve the family mystery.
The core idea is using household objects as elements of fear, and finding the balance between dark and light, imagination and reality.

The player has to use the torch to light the scene in order to find hidden objects that will be used later in the game. That can be fun, as the game is set in a house, with every room having its own setting-related enemies and clues, that are the pieces of a puzzle put together throughout the gameplay.

Keeping the torch on for too long wakes up the parents who send the kid back to bed, which resets the game and leaves the player at square one. Keeping the lights off has its own side effects: the enemies (the objects that the boy fears the most) slowly move towards him, and the moment they touch him the night trip is over.

Drawing the scene artwork for this game could be loads of fun for an artist, as it has to be crazily detailed and quite weird.

If somebody wants to make it, give me a shout ^_^

If through the magic of magic cookie cats existed, would you eat one? Of course they wouldn't feel any pain and they'd live just to feel the satisfaction of their owner crunching on their crumbly ears while they soak in a milk bath. Also, any part you ate would spontaneously regenerate as long as you didn't eat the tail and if you fed it a flour and water mixture with your choice of flavourings. I'd go with marshmallows and skittles.

And for all the inspiration-related questions.

Tumblr blogs and comic book store are the best sources of inspiration for me at the moment. Especially the latter one - it’s actually a bit scary walking into the shops like that: everything is so pretty and even over-inspiring. Makes you want to run and draw something. Gives some good ideas about what can be drawn. And how.

Just some interesting “asks”.

1) Had to google this expression and learned something new today, thank you (although still not 100% sure google revealed the truth).
Internet is bottomless, isn’t it.
Oh, and if one day you see me posting a drawing of whatever is that you requested, it will be intended for you.
2) Okay, I should probably question my parents as this is, like, seventh time I’m told a similar fact about my name. One guy at work actually calls me marijuana sometimes.
Sorry, I wish my name did mean something like ‘the seventh bottom tooth of a Hungarian Horntail dragon’, but it’s just as plain as many other human names.

I actually like vegetables. But between greens and meat I’ll always go for the latter one.

Doodling in my pad turned into exciting “more-than-a-sketch” drawing of catfood. The thing about catfood is that if you’re not a fan of cats (well, happens) - here’s a picture of a nice n friendly breakfast. If you don’t like breakfasts (uhm, happens as well, i guess?) then there’s fifteen cats for ya. And if you don’t like either, then you’re a monster and should be locked in a room without door handles or windows with the thing you love most glued to the ceiling.

I have been receiving messages from people who like seeing the initial sketch and the process of work alongside the final piece. Thought I’d try and post a full set whenever that’s possible or relevant.

Also!
You might have or might have not heard, but there was a project on Kickstarter or a similar site where a cat cafe project was asking for funding. Isn’t that the best thing, like, ever - you’re cold and lonely, walking into this cafe and hug warm and fluffy cats while being served coffee and cake. I don’t even know if there are better ideas than this one in the entire universe. I helped the fundraising a little, and (hooraaay) they’ll be opening in London some time soon. Had a quick chat with the lady who runs the project, and she mentioned that there’ll be a possibility of showcasing artwork in there. Then I might get overexcited and draw a lot of pics similar to the one attached to this post.

1) Weird, I only remember one Jesus-themed picture, and it has a slightly drunk piece of cheese in it. I wouldn’t say I’m religious, no. But it’s a good source for occasional ideas (religion, I mean).
2) Does the fact that every word of the question starts with a capital letter make it some kind of a riddle (like a secret insulting abbreviation I don’t know about)? Or is it just that you feel rather special about ponies?
I will certainly draw one or two if I feel like it one day. Probability is closer to negative, but still.

Hey there.

Some of you might remember my collection of coffee cups I’ve been doodling on. Well, this is part two!

February is supposed to be the most depressing time of the year, so I thought I could cheer up my colleagues by leaving a lot of mouldy paper cups with violent and sometimes disturbing drawings on them all over my desk.
The cleaner didn’t get it first, and some of the early cups with ‘artwork’ on them have been ~~cruelly destroyed~~ binned, but it’s fine, I don’t give up that easily!

The blood-covered kitten is the same lovely creature that was later featured in one of the comics below. And please note the huge flesh-eating caterpillar, which, as mentioned by one of my co-workers, is “utterly disgusting” and “just gross”.
*satisfied smile*

If I keep drawing on rubbish I will have to think of what to do with all that, at some point.

gifs on tumblr really can't be bigger than 1mb. If it is it won't move even if you click on it.

2) They surely can, although if a GIF is bigger than 500 kb then animation doesn’t work unless you click on it. People are busy these days, they don’t click on things, so might as well make my GIFs smaller for everyone to see its ‘magic’ straight away.
